EASA CS-25 Cabin Safety Design & Certification

Description

There are a series of airworthiness codes which must be followed to ensure the design of the various products and parts are fully compliant with all certification requirements. Related to large aircraft, this airworthiness code is known as Certification Specifications and Acceptable Means of Compliance for Large Aeroplanes (CS-25).

This course will equip the delegates with the capability to classify changes to cabin interiors into minor, major or significant, identify applicable CS-25 paragraphs and have the basic knowledge of the Means of Compliance related to the certification process and requirements. Additionally to understand how to demonstrate compliance with the certification specifications will be discussed with practical examples, e.g. STCs, will be reviewed.

Platform:

Virtual instructor-led training (VILT) via MS Team

(6 half working days from 9am to 12.30pm (UTC +8))

Fees:

AAIS Member: S$2,472.12/pax w/GST
Public: S$2,690.12/pax w/GST

Fees reflected are inclusive of 9% GST (in 2024).

Who Should Attend?

Personnel involved in design engineering having Design Organisation Approval (DOA) or considering to apply for such an approval. It is also applicable and valuable to the management of such organisations, e.g. Head of Design Organisation, Chief Independent System Monitoring, Chief Office of Airworthiness, Office of Airworthiness staff and Compliance Verification Engineers (CVE), as well as engineering staff.

This training is important to Regulators or Aviation Authorities wanted to become more knowledgeable in order to approve cabin interior design changes developed by airlines or maintenance organisations in their countries.

Content:

These Certification Specifications (CS-25) are applicable to turbine powered Large Aeroplanes. The content of the training course is based on the assumption that a so-called “green aircraft” exists with all necessary structural and systems interface provisions are available in the cabin needed for the installation of the changes.
