Description

This course provides a systematic approach to cause analysis and will illustrate how to respond to audit findings to ensure problems are fixed and prevented from recurring in the future. This one-day, interactive class teaches the process necessary to establish a root cause program that will become a significant continual improvement tool.

Content:

  • Containment and team development
    How to contain a problem and select a team to review and act on solving the problem.
  • Problem Identification
    Steps to take to understand the TRUE problem and how proper problem identification will prevent you from working on the wrong problem.
  • Collecting Data
    The importance of data collection, tools to use and how this will lead you to determine all relevant causes.
  • Determining Causes
    An explanation of the types of causes (direct, contributing, root) the critical difference and importance of each.
  • Corrective Action Planning
    A review of specific and preventive action, the differences between the two, and how preventive action can, and will, lead to improving your business.
  • Mistake Proofing
    A discussion of how to prevent mistakes from occurring in the first place
  • Implementation and Validation
    How to implement solutions and ensure long-term effectiveness.

Upon successful completion, participants will receive a certificate of attendance from PRI.

About the Trainer:

Mr Arnoldo Castilla, eQuaLearn Instructor, PRI

Arnoldo has been an eQuaLearn instructor with PRI since 2009. He had conducted training on topics that include AS/EN/JISQ 9100, Internal Auditing, Root Cause and Corrective Action, Introduction to Aerospace Quality, Problem Solving Tools, Nadcap Audit Preparation – Heat Treating and Introduction to Pyrometry etc. 

Arnoldo obtained his education in Mechanical-Electrical Engineering with a major in Electronics. He has more than 25 years of practical base knowledge and experience in the Manufacturing of Aerospace, Automotive and Medical Products. He is a Quality Professional with more than 23 years of expertise in implementing Quality and Environmental Management Systems, Special Processes and Regulatory Requirements to support manufacturing practices.
