Advanced Pyrometry

Description

Advanced Pyrometry is a two-day course for those who have already been exposed to SAE AMS2750 and are interested in gaining a complete understanding of the requirements.

As the Aerospace Manufacturing Industry has evolved, SAE AMS2750 has become more prevalent. For more than 10 years pyrometry has accounted for 70-80% of all Nadcap® Heat Treat audit non-conformances. PRI Training has recognized the need for training that goes beyond an introduction to SAE AMS2750.

The new Advanced Pyrometry course is designed to help suppliers bridge the gaps between the specification, checklist requirements, internal procedures, and work instructions.

  • Close the gap between the requirements and the necessary procedures, work instructions, and practices to maintain successful pyrometric control.
  • Ensure understanding of “doing and reviewing” calibrations and tests.

Who Should Attend?

  • This training is recommended for those who have knowledge of SAE AMS2750 specification
  • This training is ideal for those who are responsible for the quality of in-house or external pyrometric services and/or who are responsible for performing pyrometric testing in-house or for your customers

NOTE: Participants must bring a copy of the AMS2750 to class for reference.

Content:

  • Clarifies the why and how of SAE AMS2750 requirements, not just what the requirements are.
  • Live hands-on instruction for thermocouples, instrument calibrations, system accuracy testing, and temperature uniformity surveys using onsite equipment and industry examples. Perform hands-on “example” auditing of pyrometry calibration and testing procedures, certificates, and report.
  • Gain in-depth knowledge of sensors (thermocouples), instruments (Standards, Test, and Process), classification of thermal processing equipment, System Accuracy Tests (SAT), and Temperature Uniformity Surveys (TUS).

Upon successful completion, participants will receive a certificate of attendance from PRI.
