Nadcap Checklist Review – Heat Treating
Description
This course is presented by experienced auditors – experts in Nadcap Heat Treating requirements. An important aspect of the course is the opportunity to ask questions, at any time and on any subject related to Nadcap and the Heat Treating accreditation process.
The course will always address the current version of each checklist. Where revisions have been confirmed but not yet implemented, the instructor will describe and clarify any significant changes.

Who Should Attend?
- Those who have general oversight responsibilities for Nadcap audits and need to understand what should be happening
- Those who may be taking over direct liaison responsibilities in companies with experience of Nadcap and need to confirm their understanding
- Those who are new to Nadcap and will be responsible for managing or directly supporting Nadcap Heat Treating audits
Content:
Upon successful completion, participants will receive a certificate of attendance from PRI.
- Nadcap and Heat Treating
Overview of the structure of Nadcap, the relationship with PRI, the membership and role of the Heat Treating Task Group, who is in Nadcap and who is on the Heat Treating Task Group. - During an Audit
Describes what should happen during a Heat Treating audit, from the moment the auditor arrives until they leave after the closing meeting. - Checklists
Clarifies the requirements of each section of each of the checklists, down to individual questions where appropriate. Includes information on frequently found problems as well as explanations of current requirements and interpretations from the Heat Treating Task Group. - Preparing for the Audit
Describes the planning needed during the six months before the audit. Includes details of actions that must be taken, such as completing a pre-audit and sending advance information to the auditor. - After the Audit
Describes what happens after the audit has been submitted by the auditor. Includes critical timings, an explanation of the failure process and the criteria for the Supplier Merit Program.
About the Trainer:
Mr Arnoldo Castilla, eQuaLearn Instructor, PRI
Arnoldo has been an eQuaLearn instructor with PRI since 2009. He had conducted training on topics that include AS/EN/JISQ 9100, Internal Auditing, Root Cause and Corrective Action, Introduction to Aerospace Quality, Problem Solving Tools, Nadcap Audit Preparation – Heat Treating and Introduction to Pyrometry etc.
Arnoldo obtained his education in Mechanical-Electrical Engineering with a major in Electronics. He has more than 25 years of practical base knowledge and experience in the Manufacturing of Aerospace, Automotive and Medical Products. He is a Quality Professional with more than 23 years of expertise in implementing Quality and Environmental Management Systems, Special Processes and Regulatory Requirements to support manufacturing practices.
