Description
This course is intended to introduce and provide participants with an understanding of the various methods, processes and procedures utilized in Non-Destructive Testing.

Who Should Attend?
In accordance with NAS 410 and EN 4179, personnel performing technical NDT audits, surveys or assessments shall have the training, skills and knowledge to understand the processes and procedures utilized, in the application of NDT processes.
This course will be useful to auditors who will audit NDT facilities, and also to Non-Destructive Testing managers, quality managers, engineering managers, quality engineers, quality inspectors, supervisors, marketing and sales executives, and students who are interested in the nuances and technology involved in NDT.

About the Trainer:
Mr. Heng KW, G-Mech Services
Mr Heng holds a MSc., BSc. (Hons) and WSQ Advanced Certificate in Training & Assessment. He is a Fellow of British Institute of Non-Destructive Testing (F Inst NDT) and an ICAS Coating Inspector Level 1 & 2. He received a “Teacher of the Year 2001” Award by NTU for the School of Materials Science & Engineering and a “Distinguished Award” for Technical Assessors by SPRING (S) in 2014.
He has been involved with training and certification for several decades. He is currently a part-time lecturer in Non-destructive Testing for a Corrosion Engineering Course in the School of Materials Science & Engineering, NTU and a Technical Assessor in the Singapore Laboratory Accreditation Scheme (SINGLAS) of SPRING (S) for Non-Destructive Testing Laboratories (Industrial & Aerospace Sectors).
Mr Heng is very active as Chairman of the Documentation Committee, Chairman of the Board of Examiners and an Advisor for the Authorised Training Body for the establishment of the Common Welder Certification Scheme (CWCS) of the Asian Welding Federation (AWF) in Asia. From 2005 to 2011, he was a Member of IIW Working Group IAB/A: “Education, Training and Qualification” of the International Authorisation Board (IAB) of the International Institute of Welding (IIW) and Chief Executive of Singapore Welding Society (SWS) Authorised National Body of the International Institute of Welding. He was President of the Singapore Welding Society from 1987 – 1991.
His previous positions associated with Non-Destructive Testing were Technical Consultant (NDT/Inspection) in the Mechanical Technology Division, Setsco Services Pte Ltd (2005 – 2011), Senior Lecturer & Associate Professor in the School of Materials Science & Engineering, NTU (1991 – 2004) and Senior Officer, Head of Non-Destructive Testing & Metallurgy Section, Director of Materials Technology Application Centre & Technology Specialist, SISIR (1969 – 1989).
G-MECH Services is an Outside Agency approved by the Singapore National Aerospace NDT Board to conduct Training and Examinations in accordance with Employer-Based EN 4179 and NAS 410 qualification schemes.
