The ISO 45001: 2018 standard was developed starting from the already existing and consolidated standards – BS OHSAS 18001 and the ILO (International Labor Organization) conventions – with the added value of being able to easily interact with the other existing management systems, ISO 9001: 2015 and ISO 14001: 2015, integrating the High Level Structure (HSL) provided by ISO Annex SL.
Unlike BS OHSAS 18001, the certifiable ISO 45001: 2018 standard adopts an approach based on the Context of the Organization, Interested Parties, Risk Management and Opportunities and on the Continuous Improvement of the organization’s performance.
