Description
The course will provide participants with a thorough and holistic review of the cold spray process. Participants will also gain insights on the fundamentals of the cold spray bonding mechanisms and in the process, enhance their understanding on the various parameters that affect the quality of the cold spray coating. In addition, the course will also expose them to the industrial markets which the technology can be applied, thus challenging the trainees to explore potential business opportunities in the various industries.
The course will include a one-day hands-on training on cold spray coating process using a manual cold spray system.

About the Trainer:
Dr. Koh Pak Keng, Director, ECK Pte Ltd
Dr. Koh specializes in providing cold spray equipment and services. He also acts as a consultant for companies seeking AS 9100 Quality Management System and Nadcap special process certification, specifically in the areas of thermal spray and chemical processing. Concurrently, Dr. Koh is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU) and Adjunct Faculty at Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS). He is also a content developer and examination writer for Performance Review Institute (PRI) which administers the eQuaLified & eQuaLearn training programmes and the Nadcap special process certification.Dr. Koh started his career as a design engineer for General Electric Aviation with Federal Aviation Authority-Designated Engineering Representative authorization and hardware ownership of aircraft engine components. He then served as the plant manager of ADCT Technologies Pte Ltd, which offers plasma spray, electric arc spray coatings, anodizing and chemical cleaning services. His last role before joining ECK was as the Head of Aerospace Programme in SUSS.Dr. Koh graduated from Nanyang Technological University (NTU) with a Bachelor of Engineering Degree (Mechanical) in 1998 and a Master of Engineering degree under a post-graduate scholarship awarded by NTU in 2000. He graduated with a PhD degree from NTU in 2016, specializing in cold spray coating.
